Has Eva Carneiro Really Forgiven Jose Mourinho? by Tunababa8v(m): 12:46pm On Sep 19, 2016
Maybe it is high time the football world started paying attention to Shaggy's song "The power of a woman".

It is a general believe in Africa that you don't push a woman to the wall, once you do that, they can be unforgiving and this somehow could be related to Mourinho's plight and his Manchester united team's abysmal form presently.

If you remember vividly, August of 2015/2016 premier league season, Mourinho banned Carneiro from attending club matches or training sessions. This came aftermath of Chelsea's match against Swansea, during which the physio ran unto the pitch to treat the seemingly injured Eden Hazard with few minutes remaining to the end of the match with Chelsea drawing the game 2-2.

Mourinho was visibly infuriated with Carneiro's action to run unto the field, with the manager stating afterward that his doctors should have known better than running unto the pitch to treat a seemingly wounded player. What a hypocrite?.

The truth of the matter is that nobody can actually blame the physio for trying to help a player who was injured and moreso a player very vital to the team.

Why didn't Mourinho blame Hazard for trying to feign injury? (that is, if he actually was).
It was evident Mourinho was taking on Carneiro simply because he saw her as a more vulnerable scapegoat in the scenario.

Everything went downward for Mourinho after that as Chelsea only managed to accrued a meagre 15 points in a 16 league fixtures, the worst Chelsea had taken from that sum of fixtures, and they were also languishing in 16th position.

Carneiro didn't let the insult to her personality slide however as she filed a constructive dismissal case against Chelsea and Mourinho, with Chelsea unreservedly apologized to the doctor.

That was just the start of Mourinho's curse. The manager couldn't hold back is emotions after a notably league match lost to eventual champion Leicester city, with Mourinho saying after the game that "he felt betrayed by some of his players".

He said "some of them need to rethink the way they live Chelsea, the way they live football, they live their job" he told Chelsea Tv.

Mourinho eventually got a well deserved sack after just seven months at the club, with owner Roman Abrahimovic trying to savage what is left of the club.

Some football experts all over the world including me didn't think Mourinho's plight at Chelsea was ordinary, we preferred to label it to a "curse by Eva Carneiro", reasons being that everything started turning sour after that feud with the physio.

The curse continues....

Chelsea and Mourinho might have apologized but it doesn't seems the curse has been lifted just yet. Mourinho took over the Manchester united reign from Louis Van Gaal, and despite spending over £200m in acquiring Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Baily and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mourinho seems like he doesn't have a clue at Manchester united.

Manchester united has lost their last three matches in a role, something that is incomprehensible giving the talent at his disposal and his own success in the round leather game.

Pogba was the best midfielder at Juventus when he was bought, Zlatan the legend and record breaker at Psg, Mkhitaryan was the best assister in the whole of the top five leagues in the world, but all were made to look ordinary against teams such as Manchester city, Feyenoord and Watford. Bar Manchester city, those teams value cannot pay the wages of Zlatan Ibrahimovic {ok, that is a bit over exaggerating}.

In all fairness, they won their first three matches in the league, but Manchester united fan would mostly agree it wasn't that much convincing.

Mourinho though seems to have learnt in his way of treating club's senior players as he was reluctant in dropping Wayne Rooney to the Manchester united bench despite the player not fitting in to the role Mourinho is using him, but this is coming at a cost.

All might have been settled between Mourinho and Carneiro but it doesn't seems the physio has completely lifted her curse on Mourinho yet.

How long the curse will stay is left to Manchester united fans to find out, and the table will surely would be glad to be of help at the end of the season.
