Questions have been arising about what age is best for babies to use a walker. While some have believed that there is no specific age, some claim that using baby walkers too early will limit the rate at which they will begin to walk. Some think that walkers makes babies lazy since they don’t make use of their legs effectively.

This is actually not true except you always put your babies in walkers all day. Then this will certainly be an abuse of the device, after all, babies like to always be in motion. Walkers are made and design to restrict movement of your babies while you get busy with your job with little supervisions.

Basically, there is not certain age to initiate a stroller because babies develop differently. It is advisable to introduce a walker when you notice the back strength of your baby. By this we mean that your baby should be able to sit up firmly without any aid or support. For a baby that is well developing, this period tends to occur between 6-7months. This helps to ensure that your baby doesn’t hurt their selves by smashing their faces on the play tray of the walker. Though some mom have had success introducing their babies earlier enough.

Another factor that determines when to introduces your baby to walker is if you have an over stimulated baby. A walker will help restrict their movement when you aren’t going to be paying much attention. But in such cases, you will want to consider walkers without wheels.

We noticed that most mom claims that they have had no issue introducing their babies to walkers at 4months of age. So if they could have success at that age, then certainly you can also have same result.

So by this, we can conclude that the best age for baby walkers should be four months old and above. But just as we have established earlier, the overall criteria for introducing the best baby walker should be their strength to sit up right without any support.

Shopping for the best baby walkers for your baby
When you noticed that it is right to introduce walkers to your baby, then you will need a good review of the best baby walkers so that you get the best value for your money. There are some things you should consider before purchasing a walker. You will want to know the height of your baby so that you don’t end up buying walker that seems too short of tall for her. Though there are basically three adjustable height levels, it is still important to note the height. You will also want to consider all bell and whistle which are basically the toys that comes along with the single purchase. It will be good to opt in for walkers whose toys can be detached at any time so your baby can continue the fun while off the walker.
