As the undoubted player of 2016 and after lifting both the Champions League and European Championships in the space of a couple of months, there are no shortage of people waiting for Cristiano Ronaldo to come down a peg or two. On Saturday night, Ronaldo fed some fuel to the haters with what appeared to be the wrong attitude to being substituted by Zinedine Zidane for Real Madrid at Las Palmas. To put it bluntly, a Cristiano Ronaldo-Zinedine Zidane spat would sell newspapers, create click worthy headlines and generally keep the rumour mongers going!
