A Catholic priest was allegedly attached by suspected Fulani herdsmen on his way back from Nsukka at about 5:00pm on Monday 26 September in company with two other priests. Rev Fr Jude Chetanna JChukwuneke pictured above, was shot on the head from close range. He lost control on the wheels and collapsed thereafter from massive loss of blood. Luckily, he was saved by a timely rescuer who rushed him to the hospital.

The bullet did not also hit vital body organs.


However, the herdsmen injured a priest with him and kidnapped the 3rd priest, Rev Fr Emmanuel. Dim.Rev Fr Jude is the youth Chaplin of Catholic Diocese of Nnewi.


He is also a board member of an NGO that he founded Youth Alive Development Initiative.
