From Genesis to revelation we see a desperate lover pursuing His love restlessly and unrelenting. He seems to be madly in love with His woman. Look at all the love He poured out on her and look at how much He suffered in her hands. Despite the love He had shown her she remain stubborn and unyielding. Yet He never gave up. There is nothing good about this woman, nothing special. Looking at her, one would never figure out why He loved Her so much, in fact there is nothing attractive about her.

Concerning her the Bible says; "When you were born, no one cut your umbilical cord or washed you or rubbed you with salt or wrapped you in cloths. No one took enough pity on you to do any of these things for you. When you were born, no one loved you. You were thrown out in an open field." (Eze 16:4-5).

When God first saw her she was unattractive, dirty, smelling and fitly. But God looked at her and saw a glorious bride. Although there is nothing lovely about her but God fell in love with her at first sight. At that very moment God wanted her and was ready to give anything to get her. The reason He love her wasn't because she is beautiful or attractive, it wasn't because she has good quality as a woman. In fact she was unrefined, untamed and has no quality of a good wife. There was no reason for God to love her but God love her simply because He chose to. God saw her in that state and yet choose to love her. He choose her to be an outlet for His all consuming passion; "Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world" (Eph 1:4). God had finally fine someone to give His heart to, someone to pour out the passion that have been locked up inside of Him all this while. She would be an object of His love, for He would love her uncontrollably.

All through the Scripture we find God pursuing this desire; unleashing His untamed love on His woman. He loved her despite all her fault. He wasn't blinded to her faults, he could see all of them clearly but He has determine to love her and He would never turn back on this decision. So we see a God loving a woman who is not worthy, who has done nothing to earn it and nothing to secure it. In fact everything she does fights against God's love for her. She was constantly rejecting God's love for her, always giving God reasons not to love her, refusing to give herself to His love and always running away from the reach of His love. But He is recklessly in love, He would fight, break every obstacle, face any humiliation, rejection and desperately pursue His love.

It seems like God has lost His mind, He must be out of His head in love with this woman. Look at how she prostitute herself all over. "On every street corner she defiled her beauty, offering her body to every passerby in an endless stream of prostitution. In fact, she have been worse than a prostitute, so eager for sin that she have not even demanded payment. Prostitutes charge for their services—but not her! She give gifts to your lovers, bribing them to come and have sex with her." (Eze 16:25, 31, 33). What is God thinking? How can He continue to love her? But still you find Him pampering her with His love. Yes when she offend Him he gets angry for a while and then come back, begging her to allow Him love her. Oh how desperate is He, so desperately in love.

He keep look for ways to show her how much He loves her. Keep searching for ways to intoxicate her with His love. He must love her no matter what, so He tried to be closer to her, to make more visible His unconditional love. He was tired of loving her from afar so He became a man to come down on earth and show His woman the greatness of His love. He stripped Himself naked, He made Himself so vulnerable. But she allowed her children chase Him, arrest Him and hang Him on the cross. She thought finally she have gotten rid of this crazy lover. But on the third day He appeared with a gift too great for her to resist. He gave her something so undeserving, He gave her all that He is and all the He has. ) He has given her all and there is nothing left to give; "All praise to God,... who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms" (Eph 1:3). He had emptied Himself for the sake of this woman, what a desperate lover.
