The Times Are Changing In My Favour – Rev. Patricia Tuaweri by JoelNkantaBlog: 5:21pm On Oct 02, 2016
A Reverend lady and wife of the Presiding Bishop of Nobles Family Church International (NFCI)), Rev. Patricia Tuaweri, this Sunday got the church enraptured with a highly soul-lifting sermon, which she entitled, The Times are Changing in My Favour.

Drawing her text from Dan. 2:21 and Gen. 1:14, Rev. Tuaweri posited that God is the originator of times and seasons. “Whatever you are going through was programmed by God as part of His plan for your season,” she said; adding that it is the inability of one to sift the positive side of a rough season that makes one complain and grumble.

For the woman of God, every season has both good and bad parts, urging that for one to grow and circumvent a bad season, he must take advantage of both the good and bad parts of the season. “No season, no matter how harsh it may be, is altogether bad, even the odd season has something good inherent in it. Science has proven that it is at night that our bodies repair themselves,” she said.

Citing Prov. 6:10,11, “Yet a little sleep, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man, she sounded a strong note of caution against indolence and idleness. “Go out and work, it is what God sees in your hands that He blesses. When God wants to bless you and He sees nothing in your hands, He blesses nothing,” she said.

Rev. Tuaweri also drew allusion from biblical archetypes to buttress her point that challenging seasons have a way of bringing out the best in people’s lives: It was in the season of war that David emerged a champion, without which he probably would have remained a poor shepherd boy forever. It was also in the season of famine that Joseph emerged a globally acclaimed manager of economy and natural resources.

She concluded that for one to overcome the odds of a challenging season, he must remember where he came from; learn to keep hope alive; learn from the season itself; and resolve that he will outlive the season.

The service, which was tagged Independence Service, featured a special rendition of the Nigerian National Anthem by the church choir, The Noble Tribe; special prayer for the nation by the Presiding Bishop, Bishop Ebiye Philip Tuaweri, and the cutting of cake for October-born brethren.

It would be recalled that the annual conference of NFCI, International Believers’ Summit (IBS) 2016, commences on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at O’Neil Centre, Apo, Abuja at 5.00 p.m everyday till Sunday, October 9, 2016, when the grand finale holds at 8.00 a.m.
