A frustrated man identified as ChidozieAnyanwu
from Owerri in Imo state on Monday caused a
serious confusion. Mr Chidozie wanted to end
his life in misery as he was seen lying down in
the middle of the road refusing to leave crying
and lamenting that he is willingto die if the
standard of living in the state does not improve
. Standby lookers warned him that he could be
crushed by a truck.Motorists including Okada
riders usingthe road carefully avoided the
frustrated young man, One of his friends said
that Mr Chidozie lost his mother recently and
her corpse is still in the mortuary due to no
money to bury her.Mr Chidozie is said to be
married with three kids and its is difficult for him
to feed his family due to bad economy.He
said“My wife is a civil servant and her salary
does not come as and when due. And when it
comes, the bank collects all and still debits her
accountbecause of a loan she took. The
provision shop she opened with the loan is not
growing because Imo people don’t have money.
People, whoused to patronise the shop, are no
longer coming and when she calls them, they
always say there is no money,”But later Some
people gathered and pleaded with him not to kill
himself and managed to convince him to move
out of the road .
