A large fire erupted some shops at the hostel mini market in Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. Yesterday.
The incident which occurred around 10:00 pm on Thursday was reported to have been caused by electrical surge. However, intervention of the Sokoto State Fire Service, saved much damages that would have been recorded by the inferno to only four shops. A salon, a cosmetic shop and two other shops were reported to have been the casualties of the conflagration.
An eyewitness disclosed that, only three shops were totally engulfed by the fire outbreak. It was reported that nothing tangible was to be saved from the so called inferno in the three affected shops
