The procession of the new Oba of Benin, His Royal Highness, Eheneden Erediauwa began on Saturday 8th October. Hundreds of residents in Benin, the Edo State capital gathered at the Edaiken palace to watch the crown prince walk for 8 kilometers on foot as part of the coronation for an Oba of Benin. Crown Prince Eheneden, who is also the Edaiken, moved on foot from his palace to Eko-Ohae, where he would stay for three days.
