At a time the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Mahmoud Mohammed, in his usual transparent manner, came out to say that his salary and allowances are cumulatively less than N450,000 monthly and less N7million annually, the Department of State Service (DSS) on Saturday said it recovered mind-boggling N93, 558,000.00, $530,087, £25,970, €5,680, from the residences of only three judges after a sting operation.

Although the DSS refused to release the details of the amount recovered, The Nation said it was able to scoop out some figures against the names of some of the judges.

The DSS said it would charge the indicted judges to court to enable them prove how they came about the monies and dispel allegations of corruption against them.

It said is left for them to prove ownership of the monies and establish verifiable sources of such income.

I totally understand that the method of arrest was barbaric, but let me state it categorically and emphatically..... this was the only way to catch these foolish thieves! going through the right channel would have yielded nothing
