Nah, there's nothing to thank me for. It's a road I've once passed through so I understand.

You're making good progress and I know soonest you'll be where you want to be.

Your beginning, starting as a guard is akin to telling a female graduate to start as a cleaner in a firm... a near impossibility, not worthy of consideration, I tell you but it's what you willfully chose to do.

Guy, I've got maximum respect for you.
My heart goes up to God for you also. He'll do for you what only he himself can do.

Interesting. The big difference between you and other graduates is pride. Soooo many jobless graduates cannot bring themselves to do jobs below a certain status.... regardless of those jobs being a way to gain access to much better ones. When you get to the top.... they would say you have connections. You have to stoop to conquer.

This is inspiring. Staying idle is the worst decision any graduate should make. Am currently teaching in a private school and still hoping for a better career.

how i met the Md of .... Firm.
sometimes lastweek i talked with my pastor on the situation of things and all, that i need a change. He called me on thursday morning prayed for me on phone and the following day @ work i was posted to the pedestrian gate to carry out that days duty...then a very humble man approached me during the afternoon break time, he said what sort of lunch would i prefer he bought for me i just smiled and said nothing on his way back he said i turned down his offer to buy me lunch and asked what time would i be relieved from that days morning shift....which i said 5:30pm he said he would see me i said okay. Then on his way out in the evening unfortunately my oga @ the office was there when this man was leaving the brewery premises so he asked if i would want to work for his company....i smiled and said no due to my boss presence because 3 of our security operatives were fired that day i didnt want to be the 4th, the man smiled asked for permission from my boss if he can give us money for malt. Which he gave us 1k which i splitted equally with the other guy we whom we worked together @ the gate and then he left.

To be continued

there is no harm in forwarding your resume to Hayewoh@slb.com
her name is Henrietta Ayewoh.
Note: i got her email from a paper document i saw on the floor, so i am taking advantage of it. I have never met her neither do i know her but for sure she is part of the HR team @ slb.

So the following day i was also on morning shift which was saturday, so when i got to work i was posted to the arena where this same man office was located as i have earlier discussed with a lady who works as his staff for job due to the ongoing plant expansion @ the brewery here she then said its only labors that they need for now though the pay is huge compared to what i earn(20k). And while we were talking the boss called her to bring an helmet and reflective vest to the gate for him to get into the premises which she did. So i waited for the man and we had a brief discussion with him on my need for a job and explained reasons why i said no yesterday
He said he perfectly understood, he gave me his card that i should give him a call. Then on sunday i gave him a call he asked of my qualifications and said i should seal my cv in an envelope and drop it with a guy @ his office which i did on monday morning. Then i told him if i could get a job no matter how small in there ongoing project here...this was on monday morning when i saw him...he now said i shouldn't worry but relax that he wants to employ me in their upcoming project in O... State coming up feb 2017, that they have less than a month here in ph to round up this one. One of his worker with the lady i met said am so lucky that the man is offering me a job all by himself ,a ceo/md @ that.
... they even get contracts and work in other african countries.

met the female Emtech HR yesterday and we discussed she said we should keep checking back if anything suitable comes up she would fix us up...the job available was unsuitable.
I also met the project manager mr fernardo fortunately he his a good friend of mr christopher duncan the former GM of Le'meridien hotels here in ph...but Chris left nigeria in august, he relocated back to cape town. He said he has had enough of 9ja.
Told Fernardo,we would see later.
Tried the hurlag engineer contact yesterday and i discovered i got the digits wrong...i would have to meet him again.

today was a great day worked @ the main gate...no sunshine, it was cool through out.
Saw few candidates who came in for interview @ pabod breweries today...i was shocked and surprised..
I never had any info that resumes were submitted, thus i approached one of the guys that came to interview for the post of a quality control specialist, he said he applied online. Wished him goodluck.

Look down on no one because no condition is permanent.
From a Halogen Security guard to a Health and Safety officer.

Left ph finally moved to the project site at Sagamu. I now work with the major contractor,
Got this link where I worked as a guard for good 7months.
I appreciate everyone who made this happen!

The pay isn't huge but it's far better than what i earned as a guard, working conditions are also very much better, I also get to work in my field of study.
