One of Nigerian's biggest telecommunication industry, Globalcom has decided to unleash joy unspeakable to Nigeria tertiary institutions, as another edition of Glo campus storm takes a big turn.


On thursday, they announced the commencement of the Glo campus storm which is to run for the next 24 weeks, hitting all the major tertiary institutions in Nigeria. And it promises to be treated in a world class manner. The company said 17 of the country’s best artistes would entertain during the concert, including Wizkid, Flavour, Timaya, MI, Omawumi, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Dija, Runtown, Basketmouth, Bovi and Gordons.


The statement added that besides providing entertainment, the company would also use the Glo Campus Storm to reward and empower Nigerian students. During the campaign, 240 students will become Glo campus ambassadors in the 24 campuses.

According to the statement, “the 10 winners in each campus will receive up to N100,000 each, with all the 240 winners vying for the “Glo Data Dude” and “Glo Data Diva” coveted crowns at the grand finale.


The two top winners in each category (male and female) will each have the chance of winning N1 million in scholarships in addition to being signed on as Glo Brand Ambassadors. They will also get Special Invitations to all Globacom organised events and shows such as the Glo-CAF Awards, Glo Laffta Fest and Glo Slide ‘n’ Bounce concerts”.


This year's edition begins at the University of Port-harcourt, and Glo listed some of the artists to grace the occassion, they include south-south king of entertainment, Timaya, Nigerian king of rap, M.I, Runtown, concluding the list is chocolate's city own Disc Jockey, DJ Lambo who would take charge of the jukebox.


The show will hold at the University of Port-harcourt's gymnasium starting from 4.00pm Nigerian time. Glo also announced that any student willing to participate will be required to recharge their Glo SIMs with N500 worth of Glo Campus Booster Data Plan, this will enable them gain entrance into the entrance of the show, and contest for the mouth-watering prizes.
