Hello House,
Good evening,

Please my elder sister gave birth to a bouncing baby boy couple of weeks ago. But we discovered that the middle finger of the baby is folded in both hands... Other fingers can be straightend but those two can't.

Please has someone seen or head of such before and what measures was taken to correct it.

medics in the House or anyone who has any crew please help my sister is losing sleep over this.

For me I feel the kid will outgrow it with time but lime the saying. ... "a problem shared is a problem solved"

lala help push this to FP.

Thanks all in advance

Its most likely a nerve issue..
Was the delivery a difficult one? What was the birth weight?
Was the child delivered using forceps?
please tell your sis to goto a teaching hospital and sort this out.if you waste time,it might be incorrectible.

Worrying without action is futile

The child may need to be seen and examined in the hospital by a specialist called a paediatric surgeon. The child should be taken to the hospital preferably a teaching hospital.or good private hospital

It might be a problem related/connected to the Median nerve thus making the middle finger to be flexed.

Anyway, there's no much cause for alarm. Just head to a specialist medical centre that has a hand surgeon/doctor and a pediatrician also. Both experts will need to be consulted.

Tell your sister all is well.... smiley

I understand birth via CS has very few/negligible complications so relax.

And Congrats on her new born.... Don't fret, all is well. smiley

it's pretty obvious you are either insensitive or lacks common sense... common sense is not common anyways.

like you run to hospital when I obviously knows that Consultants and medical practitioners belongs to this forum as well. I can see you totally lack the knowledge of social media.

I have seen how smart you are by this your display of a world class stupidity. Infact your stupidity deserves a Grammy without a nomination.

I hail thee.

Please consult a doctor in an established government hospital. ...... HBOT Providers in PH.
....................
The baby can suffer from paralysis as a result of peripheral nerve damage caused by traction or a brain damage caused by prolonged labour. Such babies can benefit more from hyperbaric oxygen therapy (hbot).
HBOT can enable healing of the injured brain, in the safest, fastest and cost-effective manner.

Many parents whose babies have suffered cerebral palsy, nerve paralysis, autism, adhd, pediatric stroke and many other difficult-to- treat conditions have benefited immensely from the use of hbot.
