Gas is the future. With a market size of over 180 million people, there is a huge market for LPG in Nigeria as consumption grew from 36,000 Tons in 2005 to about 350,000 Tons in 2015 with a market projection of 1,000,000 tons in 2018. The major driver to achieve this growth is the constant availability of gas in the retail market. LPG refilling plants would be needed to bring LPG closer to the consumers for easy accessibility as one of the major hindrance to the use of LPG in Nigeria is accessibility. Therein in lies the business opportunity for entrepreneurs and investors to harness and develop the Nigerian LPG Market to meet its consumption potentials.

If a domestic consumer is assured of LPG when and where s/he needs it, s/he would willingly convert from firewood, coal or kerosene to LPG. With the present emphasis of the government on the development on the gas sector, the supply situation is improving significantly and more households are definitely changing to LPG.
