The Enugu State Police Command on Tuesday arrested armed Robbers dressed in Military uniform.

The Armed robbers were arrested while robbing passengers traveling through Nsukka- Markurdi Road.

In the early hours of yesterday operatives of Nigerian police received a distress call of armed robbery attack along Nsukka-Markurdi road and swung into action.

The armed robbers on sighting the police engaged them in a fierce gun battle which left one of the robbers dead and several others injured.

Some of the robbers fled with bullet wounds and search is still going on to apprehend them.

The Police command through its state Public Relations Officer Ebere Amarizu is appealing to members of the public most especially owners of hospitals and medical centers to report to the police any person or persons with bullet wounds.

all these criminals are just increasing everyday. Well they should be shot by the firing squad. Atleast it will send a message to new intending criminals.
