Ignorance is bliss. Contemporary medical and biological sciences suggest that except in very rare cases, women on this route do not have to wait that long to have children. It's high time Nigerian women started to discharge themselves from healing/miracle pastors so they could seek treatments in IVF clinics. And when such babies finally arrive, please let the world know science, and not an imaginary God, made it happen.

My uncle's wife had no child for over 20 years of marriage but now she has 6 kids, a girl, triplet and twin, in that order in the space of 6 years. Her husband was faithful in those years no children.

That is d problem, we ignore to mention that process. Some couples will b like..we wanna wait on d lord.. I'm not saying u shldn't wait.. But y getting on aeroplanes..use donkey or leg.

But people should be honest. These so called miracles are from assisted reproduction that more centres now offer in 9ja and more affordable now than 10 years ago.

That is why I respect a pastor friend who used assisted reproduction to have his twins and openly told everyone about it.

It encourages people to seek help on time.

IVF / Assisted Reproduction MIGHT get you pregnant ..It however does not guarantee a baby. Millions of people try IVF without even getting pregnant.

That being said , a tiny+invisible Zygote growing into a baby with 2 eyes , 10 toes and 10 fingers is a MIRACLE.

Once a woman gets pregnant there is nothing any Doctor can do to guarantee she will have the baby.

Hope u learnt a thing or two...God Bless and may you never experience delayed childbirth.

I concur, in fact my idea of a miracle is going to sleep & waking up daily.

But that's beside the point.

Using assisted reproduction to get preggy is quite different from not using.

The probability of carrying it to term is irrelevant. Since nature obviously failed 100% over many years. Even the approx 5 to 49% chances with AR, depending on age, expertise/hospital centre, is still way better.

If used and concealed, it is pure dishonesty. Say the truth & let others know how you did it & help them.

We should quit making everything a pure religious matter. IVF was not invented by pastors but by people who sat down to actually physically apply their god-given abilities.

All we mostly do is pray and wait for miracle. Those who actually do something claim it's a miracle. shocked shocked

Most of these couples that waited for a long time always have twins because there is a high chance of twinning in IVF, but they will not be open about it because they want to make testimony in church. We should stop deceiving ourselves, let people be truthful so as to give guidance to others in same condition.
