Ghana's Oldest Storey Building Over Three Centuries Older Than That Of Nigeria by SuperSupremo(m): 3:08pm On Oct 24, 2016 |
Elmina Castle was erected by Portuguese in 1482 as São Jorge da Mina (St. George of the Mine ) Castle, also known simply as Mina or Feitoria da Mina ) in present-day Elmina , Ghana (formerly the Gold Coast ). It was the first trading post built on the Gulf of Guinea, so is the oldest European building in existence below the Sahara. First established as a trade settlement, the castle later became one of the most important stops on the route of the Atlantic slave trade . The Dutch seized the fort from the Portuguese in 1637, and took over all the Portuguese Gold Coast in 1642. The slave trade continued under the Dutch until 1814; in 1872 the Dutch Gold Coast , including the fort, became a possession of the British Empire https://en.m.wikipedia.org/.../ 3 Shares

That building is the only reason why i don't use the "N" word (Nigga) Imagine what my ancestors went through They were shackled with a heavy chain, dumped in an overcrowded ship, stayed for about 8 months at sea, without food and water, they shiit where they were sitting, they didn't bath, they didn't brush their teeth, some died on the voyage and they were taken to America to do a hard labour and at the end of the day, those evil white people will call them "Niggers" And some Foolish kids who can't stay without their phones or Internet for 3 hours, kids who doesn't know how it feels like to sit on one spot shackled with chain for 9 months will have the effrontery to use that word If i ever hear someone around me use that word, I'm done being your friend or talking to you 62 Likes 9 Shares |

This distrustful relationship Ghanaians have toward Nigerians can be attributed to sibling rivalry. No need to get riled up and violent. We are brothers afterall. **If you are a student and you would like to work for RentALodge as a RentALodge contact in your school, see the signature for address. We are recruiting for all schools in Nigeria.** |
