This is the scene from a ship in the sea after first glimpse of lights along Italian coast where Nigerian and other African migrants rescued burst into Nigerian praise songs moments after they got their first sight of Italian coast (Europe).

Relief is visible on their faces, in their voices and in their jiggles perhaps not only a display of gratefulness for surviving the risky journey across the Mediterranean but also an expression of the hopes they nurse to lead more fulfilling lives away from their homes in Africa.

The identities of the migrants have not been clearly established but it is not altogether impossible that a group of African migrants dancing are Nigerians.
