Is Virgin Media (UK) Super Hub 2 any use in Nigeria?

Any useful contribution is welcome. I have a spare and going to Nigeria soon, I was just wondering if it will be useful to bring along. I might also have another one of the same as I am cancelling my Virgin Media contract and they are not going to be asking for it back...

Thanks.

Probably not. All ISP providers supply routers to customers.
And modem use is more prevalent than routers generally (not forgetting hotspot also).
NB : The router would be configured for VM in its present form

Most internet service providers here have their customized routers for their internet services. However, if you subscribe for data on it and your provider have a roaming partner here then you could use. Otherwise, don't add to your luggage.

Thanks guys! It is just that we have so many throw-away technology and items generally in the West - such a waste!

* By the way, the Hub can also be configured to 'Modem Only' use; so it is can still be used as a Modem and for the technological able, the customisation to Virgin can be by-passed - all these things are possible but I am not a skilled It or Electronic engineer. This is Net Gear Router or Hub (what is the differencewink)! But thanks for replies!

** I presume all those folks with Internet Cafe are using Mobile Internet and/or MIFI? Are there broadband landline services in the Big cities?
