Clinical and health psychologists complete 4 years' basic (undergraduate) training, and then a master's or doctoral degree in clinical or health psychology. Clinical psychologists specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a wide range of psychological and general health concerns affecting individuals and families. Health psychologists specialise in developing education and behaviour change programs to help people to recover from or self-manage chronic illness, trauma, injury or disability. Clinical and Health psychologists help people to cope with the diagnosis and medical treatment of acute health problems and to facilitate medical care.

Clinical neuropsychologists complete 4 years' basic training, and then a master's or doctoral degree in clinical neuropsychology. They specialise in the assessment and rehabilitation of brain injury and brain impairment.
