Faithfulness is rare among human beings. Yet it is a goal everyone is striving to attain. But it is almost becoming an illusion because hardly could anyone be trusted or be depended upon these days. Faithfulness could be viewed from various angles: among people, from citizens to the state, creatures to the creator, friend to friend, within family, the church and institutions.
 
BE SUBJECT TO AUTHORITY
The Bible enjoins all people to be subject to the governing authority because it is instituted by God. Rulers are no terror to good conduct (Romans 13:1-7, Titus 3:1). They are responsible to God and to the people. To be a faithful citizen includes performing one's civic duties like declaring personal assets for proper assessment and payment of taxes (Matthew 22:21). Faithfulness can be expressed by taking part in community development activities like road construction, building a local market, operation clean the town, etc. A good citizen does not expect the government to do everything for him. A good citizen should cast his vote and pray for peace and good government in the country.
Apart from the state, there is authority everywhere, including educational institutions. Students should keep the rules and regulations of the school. Any move to break them brings disorder to the system.
