October is usually devoted to cancer issues. Therefore, I like to share some recent knowledge on the war on cancer.
The global war on the disease has raged for over 80 years. The weapons of war continue to be three-fold: surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Over the same period, there have been rapid improvements in technology and medical science. As such, one would expect medical treatments and success rates for cancer to rise steadily. This, surprisingly, hasn’t been the case. In fact, the cancer rate has increased by 44 per cent since 1950, with breast and male colon cancer increasing by 60 per cent and prostate increasing by 100 per cent. About 44 per cent of Americans are expected to develop cancer in the near future according to recent statistics.

Surgery, Chemotherapy and Radiation therapy aren't the medical and science's world only weapons against cancer....

We got Palliative care approach to cancer, Molecularly targeted therapy (biotherapeutics)- an aspect of molecular medicine, and Hormonal therapy.

The Cancer is still on but can be won as about 75-85% of cancer cases are environmental-linked and not genetic.

Althought the molecular origin of cancer hasn't been found (one day it will be ), we can take encouragement in the fact that cancer cells strive in acidic environments and systems... Meaning an alkaline environment is what is needed to starve and kill off and even prevent most cancer growth in the human body.

Your Body systems' pondous de hydronium (pH) matters a lot in Cancer.

The war is on but one day, it shall be over.... And that will be bad news for the major pharmaceutical giants making big cash outta cancer drugs.
