The drums will soon start rolling, your phone will beam with beautiful display pictures and there will be a stream of text messages wishing you well in the coming year with loads of prayers. Its usually an exciting period that before the dawn of the euphoria, the whole of January will be gone.
Interestingly, the loads of well wishes and prayers via text or other messaging platforms does not set the year on course neither does it guarantee utmost success. What then will make a difference? What will get you ready for the year even before you step into it? GOALS!

For many, by the time they are figuring what the year will look like and what they would achieve, the whole of January, February and March is gone, that’s a terrible antecedent. Don’t let this happen to you!

It will cost you a pen and a writing pad. Write down what you want to achieve and all you want to be in the coming year. Do we need to tell you to think as big as you can? Write your goals as clearly as possible, as specific as possible and in a way that you can measure it.

Write down in clear terms what you want to do with your life in 2017. You should even take a step further to write where you want to be in 5 years, in 15 years and even more. You can go on to break your life into segments, finance, family, relationship, health, academic, career, etc and write what you want to see in each segment.

The earlier you do this, the better. This singular act will go a long way to deliver the coming year into your hands. The beginning of failure is to think you can do it later.
