When we started the project, I must confess
we had a lot of setback and hurdles to Cross but series and series of meetings and strategy settled dat

consists of a combined farm ownership 50 acres of plantain farm already fully set up and functional with intention to increase to 120 acre next year

OKO-EYE - ONIGEDU SITE

consists of a combined farm ownership 54 acres with 5 acres of plantain farm already fully set up and functional with intention to increase to 54 acre next year


PHASE 4

ADO-ODO SITE

consists of a combined farm ownership 5 acres of plantain farm already fully set up and functional with intention to increase to 10 acre next year

ISHAGBO - OWO - OKEODAN SITE

Wen we started this project we set out farming like the local farmers and found out that unless we changed our farming practice we won't go farm. Thank God we did and since then we have bin giving good returns to our most esteemed clients

We Are Changing The Narrative!!!!!


Until recently plantain was seen as just a fruit for consumption in the open market and grown subsistently in the rurual areas

But today becos if the various awareness on the crop and its attendant value, it cultivation has seen an upsiuge in recent times as well as deliberate effort to fine tune farm management practice to ensure quality of the crop

Having said that, we are not even an inch it changing the face of Plantain/banana cultivation in the country because we still depend heavily on production for direct consumption
And very little is pushed in for processing

It will interest u to know that from the process fruits u get flour for food industry, ethanol for chemical industry

Processed trunk gets u products ranging from disposable cups n spoons to ceiling board and tiles as well as car dash boards etc


Then came us.....

U would if cos say ' some of these things are already bin done in Nigeria. Yes they are but are there enuff raw material's to push for large scale production

The answer is a big fat ,No!!!!!

Even what we currently produce in this country can't meet up with domestic consumption not to talk of processing and there lies both the problems and solution

We saw this deficit in the production side and since we were also thinking in the area of( we had contacted a lot of international interest who were only ready to deal with us wen we had a reasonable amount of plantain stands) processing, we had to bring in more farmers to plant plantain


Came in the Project.....

We set out to create a zone in which only plantain and banana can be readily found and purchased at reasonable cost without a burden to the farmers and he/she still smile to the bank

A hub for industrial activities and traffic for the useage of the plantain and banana

A region so common dat wen asked for anything concerning plantain or banana u are easily directed there

For those of us still interested in cassava farming with us, Please read this

Reports from The just concluded 2016/2017(CASSAVA FARMING SEASON) CAFAS

The 2016/2017 CAFAS came with it many event. While the planting season started in March 2016 and ended in October the same year, harvesting started in April 2017 and ended in December 2017

While most of the harvest recorded was bountiful a few had draw backs like theft,bush fire, incomplete leased land,high labour cost to non availability to even returns on investment due to unstable market prices were recorded in some farms leading to failed farms of which we had to bear the responsibility of repaying/replacement some of whom we had to push till the next planting season

Let it be on record that for the 4years we have been the Business, the 2016/17 CAFAS was were we recorded our major loss

Due to the experiences of last years farming season and post harvest losses we recorded we went back to the drawing board to ensure that a repeat of these losses don't occur and burden of farm repayment/replacement doesn't fall on us any longer

For this reason, the board of SIG had to come come with another model for the 2017/18 CAFAS

Even though it addressed some of the challenges faced it still didn't holistically take care of some issues most especially on
returns on investment. Hence we went back to the drawing board met with veterans both in the business world and agricultural sector drawing from their wealth of experience concluded on a new model to be implemented starting from This 2018/19 CAFAS

RESOLUTION:-
It was resolved that

1. Each years CAFAS will be a 4 year program per individual

2. Minimum slot will be 5 acres and maximum of how many u can effectively fund

3. The cost of an acre will be 150,000

4. Funds will be provided by the client in full before the commencement of this project

5. That the total returns on investment for the 4 year period per client will be 250% spread over the said period. That is to say if u invested 100,000

Year 1 you get 30% of funds invested
30,000

Year 2 you get 50% of funds invested
50,000

Year 3 you get 70% of funds invested
70,000

Year 4 you get 100%
Of funds invested
100,000 + initial capital of 100,000 invested

6. Before any exchange of funds legal binding documents will be signed by both parties lawyers to adhere strictly to the rules governing the CAFAS

With this we at S.I.G believe that no complaint will come from both parties and it will be a honor doing business with you

For this year's CAFAS we will making some adjustment to the cost of certain farm inputs to reflect the current price attainable in the market

Like we said from the earlier report Posted, our new model for operation takes effect from this year farming season.
It will be a 250% return on investment spread over a 4 year period

30% of ur investment

*Year 2*
50% of ur investment

*Year 3*
70% of ur investment

*Year 4*
100% of ur investment + initial seed capital

*Minimum slot is 5 acres at the rate of #150,000 an acre**

*Maximum of the quantity of slots u can effectively fund*

Our target this year is *750 acres* as once this slot is filled subscription closes and *subscription to the project is now officially opened*

Planting commences with the first rains and end on October 31 2018
