Paul Pogba has received his fair share of stick since completing his world-record move from Juventus to Manchester United in the summer – and most of it, in fairness, has been deserved.

The France international has been underwhelming during his first few months back at Old Trafford, barring the odd moment of quality, but he scored an absolute pearler against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon.

Pogba started the move by chipping the ball into Wayne Rooney and finished it with a magnificent half-volley from just outside the penalty area.

The ball flew into the top right-hand corner of the net and replays showed it didn’t take a deflection of anyone.

It was a remarkable strike – certainly one of the best of his career – and it gave Jose Mourinho’s under-fire side a precious 1-0 lead. (Scroll down to watch Pogba’s goal).

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC THEN MADE IT 2-0

Zlatan Ibrahimovic then got in on the act with his own excellent goal six minutes later. The Premier League’s 25,000th goal.


United, assuming they hold on to secure all three points, will end the day sixth – up from eighth – in the Premier League table.

ZLATAN MADE IT 3-0 BEFORE HALF-TIME

United then killed the game before half-time as Zlatan scored his second of the afternoon.
