WIDOW AND FAMILY WRITE THE ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT TO INTERVENE


In bid to end the aged feud between Nweke Family and Onuko Family, both in Awka South L.G.A. of Anambra State, the family persons of late Sir Nweke Akumanu , had sought for the mediation of the State government.
In the petition titled, " REPORT ON THE BREACH OF JUSTICE, CRIMINAL TRESPASS, POLICE MISCONDUCT, MALICIOUS DAMAGE, ABUSE OF OUR FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS TO PRIVACY,PROPERTY POSSESSION AND ASSOCIATION MASTERMINDED BY ICHIE(CHIEF) CHUKWUKA ONUKO, FROM UMUDIOKA VILLAGE, AWKA",Nweke family asked the Anambra State Governor, Willie. M.Obiano, as the first citizen of the state and chief security officer of the state to employ the power conferred on him by section 14(2b), of the constitution, to protect their lives and properties, as such have been allegedly infringed by Lecturer Mrs. Aguiyi Anuli Ihuoma, of Nwafor Orizue College of Education, Nsugbe, retired senior police officer, in person of one, Mr. Samuel Onuko, Mr. Timothy Odoh( A brick layer), Mr. Chukwuka Onuko, Mrs. Ogochukwu Ikunne of Nkwelle Awka, Anambra State Police officers and others.
The family prayed the state governor to compel the state commissioner of police and the state Hon. Attorney General/ Commissioner for justice, to look for the case file on the complaint they made against Mr. Chukwuka Onuko and others, that was allegedly confiscated by police officers in the state, who are subordinate to Mr. Samuel and Chukwuka Onuko. Nweke Family queried the said confisication of their case file by police men and officers bribed by Mr. Samuel Onuko and Mr. Chukwuka Onuko, stressing that, they don't know why Mr. Chukwuka Onuko and col, would invade their house with hoodlums and police would not arrest them because they have a relation who was once a police officer. They asked the state government to prosecute Mr. Samuel Onuko, Mr. Chukwuka Onuko and others, as the alleged file confiscation is an abuse of legal procedure and a crime against administration of criminal law,which has melted on them damages at the course of seeking justice for the file.
Nweke Family alleged that, they have lost over ten million naira properties due to the roofing style made by Onuko Family, that is Chaneled into their rooms. And they asked the state government to compel Onuko family to comply with the decision of Ndi Ichie Umudioka on the said roof and compensation be rewarded to them due to the fact, that, they have lost to the said roofing style.
The state government also asked by Nweke family, to go after Lecturer Mrs. Aguiyi Anuli Ihuoma, of Nwafor Orizu College of Education and others, who allegedly used police to swindle justice, harass, intimidate, threat and infringe on the rights of the family person.
The family finally stated that, despite the Onuko family was directed by the council of elders, Ndi Ichie Umudioka Village, to re roof their house to avert water from the said house from entering their rooms, Onuko family on December, 2012, allegedly conspired with Mr. Timothy Odo(a bricklayer ), to damage their cooking and food items while attaching a window on the fence,which serves common boundary between Onuko and Nweke' Family Houses. Moreover, in spite of the fact that the said window allegedly infringed on their privacy and freedom of association, Mr. Chukwuka Onuko and Timothy Odo, instituted fraudulent charge against them using police. And in spite they have wasted years in court and vested with financial damages and other traumas in pursing for Justice, Mr. Timothy Odo and Mr. Chukwuka Onuko absconded from coming to court after the Nweke Family wrote Save Our Souls (SOS), to Governor Willie Obiano and others,using Authority Newspaper.NwekeFamily henceforth, prays the Anambra State Government leads by Governor, Willie Obiano to review this case and other cases between the two families and do Justice to them.
