The BBC has expanded its service to 11 new languages in Africa and Asia and it includes our very own Yoruba which is mainly spoken by the yorubas in south-west Nigeria and some parts of west africa, especially togo and benin, and Igbo which is spoken majorly by the igbos in southeast Nigeria and some parts of equitorial guinea. Another tongue being recognised in this expansion is our own very form of english which they say is a creole form of english and is known as pidgin or broken english, spoken althrough the country but majorly in the Niger-delta region.....for me, it's a welcome idea as it helps in educating the outside world more about us but am so anxious to see how the BBC homepage would look like when written in any of the aforementioned languages.
