During the Jubilee of Mercy, Pope Francis still recall meeting with a former Prostitute who told her story of human injustice perpetrated by her trafficker.

In a recent interview with TV2000 in Italy, the Papal hark back to the time he met with a young pregnant woman from Africa who was “beautiful, young (and) exploited,” EWTN Relay.

In narrating her heinous story, the woman said she was forced to work until she was nine months pregnant. She finally ended up giving birth “in the winter on the street. Alone. By myself,” Francis recalled her saying. After safe delivery, her new born daughter was exposed to harsh cold, and later died, which added to her anguish.
“They made her work until that day, because if she didn’t bring the exploiters much, she was beaten, even tortured,” the Pope said.
In August, 12, the pope reportedly met with ex-prostitutes rescued from forced prostitution, under the care of the Pope John XXIII Community in Rome as part of his Mercy Friday.
