BBC planned to expand it's network to a target audience of over 500,000,000 by creating a new set of languages to be aired and heard on its network. These Languages are Afaan Oromo, Amharic, Gujarati, Igbo, Korean, Marathi, pidgin, Punjabi, Telugu, Tigrinya and Yoruba.

Nigerians are a funny specie...I tell you.
Just as Nigerian journalists have forsaken their own indigenous languages in the field of broadcasting in favour of English, English and more English... the actual owners of English have now decided to switch/add Yoruba, Igbo and pidgin broadcasting to make more inroads into Nigeria.

Now what do they do, since the prestigious BBC king of all news media now broadcasts in Yoruba? .... Watch as they all make a complete 360 and start a reverse photocopy by doing the exact same thing. Even though these languages have always been at their front, but they never saw their importance, or deem them worthy enough to warrant special broadcasting or media platforms...

Shioooor that Oyinbos are they ones that have to teach us to value our own languages.

Nigeria is an aberration. The perspective of British for the formation of Nigeria has been defeated for a long time because Religion was the basis for it. The core North are deep Islamic group, the real middle belt is Lukewarm, the Yoruba are moderate Muslims and moderate Christians ,the Edo follow the footsteps of Yoruba in religion pattern, the Eboes are 99% Roman Catholic Christians and other groups fall between Roman Catholics and Pentecostal. So when the British sees the way Nigeria is going, they dimmed it fit to accept other groups into their Broadcasting corporations to have friends along each group. This fact am about to dole out is this, the Oromos are cushites one the largest ethnic group in Africa, that's who they are, They Yoruba is the largest single monotheistic ethnic group in Africa and if Trans Atlantic Yoruba group added to them, then imagine a population over 100 millions +. Hausa language is not monotheistic but a trading language in about six or seven countries in West and Central Africa yet the British corporations gave them language service's right on their language . So how come Yoruba were denied? and other groups I have mentioned above? Yoruba musicians swell to banks, why?,Yoruba's economic power is strong in abroad. Yoruba language is cherished by millions of Yoruba people abroad and in Nigeria. So it is one among the basis for this consideration and many other that the British Broadcasting corporations see as reality on ground when some groups are clamouring for separation from Nigeria. If they are not going to benefit, how do they plan to spend over 500,000,000$ to expand their network? and why? So expect the Tortoise like manner of the British Policy to see the handwriting on the wall. That's who they were and who they will always be. On the Nigerian aspect of it, they might not allow it because Nigeria government don't want Nigerians to listen to first hand information from BBC but a fake information being thrown to the social media for Nigeria to be fed with. Too many wrong evil people are in the elite group up North with few collaborators from the south with no exceptions to a particular tribe or ethnic group.
