CMD is an inbuilt application in computers which allows to users to carry out functions which are not present in settings or normal apps in the computer. CMD which stands for command prompt allows the user to input commands which brings these function to life.
Below are some essential functions you can carry out using CMD

1. DELETE FILES COMPLETELY FROM YOUR HARD DRIVE.
Deleted files on your PC could still be recovered using recover my files apps. Because when you delete files for your PC marks the files as no longer accessible and the space they took up as free. The files remain recoverable until they’re overwritten with new data, which can take some time.
The cipher command, however, can be used to wipe a directory by writing random data to it. To wipe your C drive, for example, you’d use the command “cipher /w:c”, which will wipe free space on the drive. The command does not overwrite undeleted data, so you will not wipe out files you need by running this command.
There’s also a host of other cipher commands, however, they are generally redundant with Bitlocker enabled versions of Windows.

2. CREATE WIFI HOTSPOT USING YOUR PC
To create hotspot type this line of command and click enter.
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid HotspotName key=Password
To turn hotspot on type this line of code and click enter
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
To turn hotspot off type this line of cold and click enter
netsh wlan stop hosted network

3. How to completely hide folders on your PC . When you use CMD to hide folders , folders won't be seen even when you click on show hidden folder.
To hide folders type this line of code on CMD and click enter
First you will need to create a new directory on CMD acting as a guide of CMD to locate the part the folder is located , when this is done you can then you can type this line of command followed by the name of the folder.
E.g the folder I want to completely hide is located in desktop and the folder is named lexicop, so to create this new directory on CMD I will type "cd desktop".
And to hide this folder I will type lexicop followed by the command below giving space between lexicop and the command.
Attrib +h +s +r
To make this hidden folder enter the line of code below followed by the name of the folder and click enter
Attrib -h -s -r

4. RESTART YOUR PC USING CMD
To restart your PC using CMD type the line of code below and click Enter ,
shutdown /r /o

5. KILL UNRESPONSIVE APPS USING CMD
Tasks that appear in the “tasklist” command will have an executable and process ID (a four-digit number) associated with them. You can force stop a program using “taskkill -im” followed by the executable’s name, or “taskkill -pid” followed by the process ID.

6. Customize your CMD text colour , feel like a pro hacker. Type the following line of commands below and click enter.
help color
When you type this line of codes , a list of colours will be displayed with their serial numbers by the side. For colour codes with serial numbers less than 10, type 0 before the number.
Like in the case of 2, type 02 and click enter.

7. LOCATE MISSING OR WRONGLY CONFIGURED DRIVERS ON YOUR PC
To carry out this function type the code line below and click enter
driverquery
To obtain more information of your PC drivers type the code below and click enter
driverquery -v.
