Application for the 2017 Tech Women Program is still open! An initiative first announced during President Obama’s Entrepreneurship Summit on April 28, 2010 – The vision is a reality in which educational, cultural, and professional opportunities transcend borders to foster a peaceful and interconnected world where all people achieve their full potential, think and act as global citizens, and build inclusive, thriving communities.

The Tech Women Program is an exchange and professional mentor-ship program developed to strengthen the relation between the United States, the Middle East and Africa.

So far the program has women from Cameroon, Kenya, Libya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Zimbabwe and in 2015, expanded to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The 2017 program is expected to have women from Pakistan.

Last year, 2,319 applications were received for 90 spots while this year it is anticipated that 100 women from 20 countries will participate at the tech women program from September to October 2017. All participants will be women engaged or rising in professional careers.
