The Nigerian Senate today announced through their twitter handle @NgrSenate the halting of the controversial data tarrif increment which was directed by the NCC.

It is believed that the halt is due to the persisting criticism by the Nigerian internet users.
It therefore mandated the Committee on Communication to investigate and make sure Nigerians are carried along and not shortchanged.
