Is there a formula for a fulfilling life?

Yes and no.

There are certainly some things that will help you (as seen below).

But the truth is fulfillment is more of an art than a science.

It all comes down to you.

Just like how one person may look a painting and decide to spend millions of dollars on it.

And the other look at it and deem it to be worthless.

A fulfilling life is ultimately what you decide it to be.

But with that said...

Here are FOUR little steps that I use on a daily basis that may help you too.

====================
Step 1 - Creating A Vision
====================

Pretty obvious right.

But how many of us have actually taken a step back, and spent some serious time visualising what we want our lives to look like?

We spend so much time “in” our lives that we forget to spend time working “on” our lives.

So put sometime in the diary this week and get to work.

Here are a few questions for you...

What career or business would you have?

What body would you be in?

Where would you be living?

What kind of relationships would you enjoy?

The key here is to NOT HOLD BACK.

Map it all out.

Even things like what time you would get up in the morning.

The vision must be so great that it leads to a compelling future.

If not, it will result in an unfulfilling life.

====================
Step 2 - Rehearse The Vision Daily
====================

Once you have established a vision you can’t afford to leave it.

Just like going to work on your physical body.

You can’t just workout once and then leave it.

It takes consistent action.

So once you have your vision build it into a daily routine.

For me, I have a pretty simple morning routine.

STEP 1: I change my state (cold shower, workout, press-ups)
STEP 2: I meditate, visualise, and focus on gratitude
STEP 3: I journal

It is this final step where you can recall your BIG VISION and also anything that came up in your meditation (if you want more info on each step of my routine, just let me know and I will happily help).

This whole process takes 20 minutes.

20 minutes out of the 1440 minutes that each day holds.

That is like 1% of the total time available each day.

So don’t go saying you don’t have time for this especially when the average person spends 2 hours flicking through social media each day.

It is quite simple really…

If you can’t afford 20 minutes each day you don’t have a life.

What you have is a state of existence.

And in this state you are not thriving you are simply surviving.

The key here is to get yourself into a state of feeling good everyday.

When we feel good, we feel successful.

====================
Step 3 - Appreciate Change Happens In A Moment
====================

This one always gets people.

What do you mean change happens instantaneously?

Well let me ask you a question...

What are we really chasing?

We are chasing a feeling.

And feelings are created by emotions.

AND finally…

Emotions are created in an instance.

Think about that time where everything changed for you.

It was one simple decision or action.

The moment you said yes

The moment you said no

The moment you said I quit

The moment you said I do

The thing that took the time was deciding to make the decision.

Then once you made it your emotional state shifted.
So appreciate you can change your life for the better right now.

Just by changing your thoughts.

That change your outlook.

That change your decisions.

That change your emotions.

====================
Step 4 - Embrace Challenges Everyday
====================

I’ve come to realise something pretty recently.

A problem free life would be a pretty boring life.

In fact, it is a complete fallacy.

You see, problems will never go away.

Once we solve one, we continue to create new ones.

Why?

Because life is about problem solving.

For us to grow and progress we must be challenged.

Why is it that millionaires decide to start new businesses despite having all the money they could ever need?

Why do inventors keep looking for the next problem solve?

Why do we enjoying playing computer games or completing crossword puzzles?

It is all because of this positive growth feedback loop.

Challenges drive solutions

Solutions drive growth

And growth drives life.

The cool part is…

Our current problems get to be replaced by better quality problems the more we go to work on them.

And of course, this allows us to become more.

And live a better quality of life.

A more meaningful life.

A more fulfilling life.

BUT…

Only if we are actually on the right path.

So take action today by following this 4 step guide and let me know how you get on!

Your’s In Maximising Your Potential,

James “growth chaser” Moody

NB: I have something special for you.
