Nigeria Football federation have revealed they owe Super Eagle players and officials bonuses for World Cup qualifying series against Zambia and Algeria.

The secretary general Mohammed Sanusi has admitted that the Football Federation are facing economics issue and hope the situation gets better,so the Federation can pay off any outstanding debts.

“As I speak with you, we are still owing the Super Eagles for the matches against Zambia and Algeria, but the memos have gone to government and are being looked at,” Sanusi said while addressing the Super Falcons in Abuja on Tuesday.

“We must commend the Hon. Minister (Solomon Dalung). He has been energetically pushing the cases of the various national teams. We did the memo for the Women Africa Cup of Nations in October and it is being processed as we speak.”

Every Nigerians knows how the state of the nation is,as the widespread of recession hits all sector.

However a quick solution to pay up the debts before any international match would suffice, as the players could get less motivated knowing the Fedeartion owes them outstanding bonuses.
