Why do fossil fuel industry shills and dupes post fake questions like this every hour of the day and night on Quora?

It’s not this single unsubstantiated, counterfactual question that bothers me, but the fact that there are a zillion such “questions” wasting space on Quora’s servers and wasting Quora readers’ time.

Every comment thread of every publication and website, just about, is moderated in some way. But the moderation rules appear to always presume that they’re dealing with single individuals posting comments/questions, rather than dealing with coordinated attacks.
