Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state yesterday said that his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, would make sure that Anambra state will be taken over by APC in the next gubernatorial election in the state.
The governor disclosed this in a release issued to newsmen in Owerri through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Sam Onwuemeodo.
According to the release, “I want to let you know that by 2017, APC will take over Anambra State in a free and fair election, and Anambra State will become the second APC State in the South-East.” Okorocha said that the Southeast region could not afford to be in the opposition.
He said, “With the entry of prominent Igbo sons into APC, like Orji Uzor Kalu, Senator Ken Nnamani and others, APC will not leave any stone unturned in the South-East.” The governor also used the opportunity to make clear his position on the urban renewal project of his administration. “In terms of urban renewal, Imo State is.........
