I got a laptop for myself recently and i got it majorly because i wanted to start preparing myself for the future and the challenges it poses.

In primary school, they used to tell us that a degree is all we needed to be successful in life but today as an undergraduate, i have seen many jobless graduates that live from hand to mouth and can barely afford a three square meal.

Whether we like it or not, the future is dependent on technology and computers are the crux of technology. So, i need you guys to suggest me softwares i can start learning today that i can depend on "tomorrow".

Already, im conversant with basic office softwares like Microsoft packages. I need more technical and professional softwares. The two i have in mind are photoshop and Autocad.

Your suggestions are welcome abeg.
N.B I am an engineering student, Chemical specifically.

Start with the basics.

Learn the full Microsoft office package up to advanced level. Learn Coreldraw and photoshop up to average.

Then based on engineering I'll advice Autodesk softwares especially Inventor and Maya.

But the future is Web developing and programming (coding)
