In as much as I dont watch the program, I believe every believer has the liberty to run away from sin or to indulge in it. It is your choice, not a group choice.

The question, which most people did not bother to answer was should BBA be banned?

My answer is NO

WHY?

Well because of the Basic Human Right, which affords everyone the right of self-expression.
That apart, the author has made some valid points which we cannot all ignore, which is the message the program preaches (yes some people do worse than is portrayed on TV, but not all). What the program does is make all these immoral things look okay, it tells the youth that it is okay to cheat on your spouse and other stuffs.

When the author mentioned the events of BBA2 as an example, some people defended this by claiming that it is rated 18 and that you have to subscribe to this, well for your information that was after the BBA2 incident (ABBAI2), in which the NBC and other sensor boards sanctioned them for creating an environment which made it possible for that type of incident to occur and they were told to change the rating from 16 to 18.
As for the author the regulatory bodies and the owners of the program are already doing something about the contents; because of the ABBAI2: they have cut shower hour, they have reduced the amount of alcohol provided, they have increased the age prescription to 18, they have made it necessary for you to say that you want BBA before you can assess it (at no extra cost) and they have introduced more activities.
Also as for the Malawian government, the only thing they can do is either call their people to order or pull out of the competition, if they feel that their representative is misrepresenting them.
We should all remember that we all have choices to make, with choices comes responsibility and our choices are influenced by our environments (our family, what we watch, what we listen to, our friends, our peers and our mentors), so we have a responsibility not only to ourselves but the people we relate to.
