Field of souls challenge Matt 28:19, is a challenge that started in 2014
Just like the ice bucket, mannequin, and other popular challenges in recent time.

The whole essence is to take different approach to evangelism.
How does it work: during the challenge, a new approach called 'task' is given which we are expected to carry out
We have had instances where the task for the day involved sowing financial seeds, visiting the sick, prisons, orphanages and beggars on the street, offering a helping hand(volunteering work) to someone or a course which you would normally not want to associate with etc
The idea is to 1. Break from your comfort zone. 2. Try new things and above all, reach out to the world with the gospel beginning from around you.

The target as at 2014 for a battle to win 1million souls for God
Through strategic evangelism

We are trusting God that come next year, we will be having a challenge themed, two thousand and seventeen years too late 2017 years too late

All hands need to be on the plough but for this Christmas special, it is about What gift you will be giving the Father for Christmas? I know he will like to sing, dance and rejoice to the song of a newly redeemed soul.

Usually, a challenge lasts a day. But for this Christmas, we have the whole week for it
The first Challenge for this Christmas is titled, "Family First"

The assignment is to reach out to any family member of yours that is still unsaved with this good news. Family both those born of blood and those born out of Love.

Now I know it is easier for most of us to go on evangelism to outsiders but feel awkward talking to our close pals or siblings (nuclear and extended) or even our parents about this subject. That's why it is a challenge worth undertaking

So define your strategies properly and get your friends and family member to sign up too.

This Christmas offers the best opportunity since most will be coming back home and also we will be having re-unions and all that

The confession for this challenge is that of all that is given to me, none must be lost!

Challenge: Family First!
Location: Your Choice
Duration: 24th - 31st Dec, 2016
Background: Blood they say is thicker than water. And family comes first. But isn't it funny how easy it is for us to evangelise to others yet it is seemingly unthinkable to sit with a member of one's own household and share the good news?

When Andrew heard of Jesus in John 1:41-43, the Scriptures record that, "he found his own brother Simon and told him of Christ"
Likewise, Philip, The woman of Samaria and even Cornelius. They all went first to those they had personal relationship with.

Jesus emphasised the importance of 'Family First' when he handed over the care of his mother to John before his death. Jn 19:27.

Task: Who do you consider a part of your family that is still unsaved? Parent, sibling, extended family, close friends and colleagues, Any one you have a personal relationship with is your family. Your assignment is that they must not escape 2016.
God must rejoice because of you.

Tool: Prayer and Evangelism.

Merry Christmas.
Scriptural Reference: Jn 1:41-43, Acts 10:24, Acts 1:8, Joshua 24:15.
