A financial Institution is urgently in need of an Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Officer.

Job Title: Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Officer

Job Description
1. Reviews and recommends improvements in process documentation from various departments/units
2. Investigation of fraud-related offences and disputes
3. Pre-disbursement verification of payment invoices
4. Evaluates and provides reasonable assurance that risk management, control, and governance systems are functioning as intended and will enable the organisation's objectives and goals to be met
5. Reports risk management issues and internal controls deficiencies identified directly to the audit committee and provides recommendations for improving the organisation's operations, in terms of both efficient and effective performance
6. Evaluates information security and associated risk exposures
7. Evaluates regulatory compliance requirements with consultation from legal counsel
8. Evaluates the organisation's readiness in case of business interruption
9. Maintains open communication with management and the audit committee
10. Teams and communicates with other internal and external resources as appropriate
11. Engages in continuous education and staff development to ensure following of procedures
12. Provides support to the company's anti-fraud programs
13. Other tasks as assigned by CEO
14. Annual audit plan created, results documented and plan followed through
15. Timeliness of completion of assignment and submission of internal audit report monthly
16. Quality of report written and submitted
17. Corrections made based on recommendations
18. Critical audit issues highlighted in the report – such issues not being identified by external auditors because of corrective actions taken place
19. Ensure procedures and controls are carried out consistent
20. Cost savings/value addition
