for me,i would go for ui.my reasons are not far-fetched.for one to gain admission there,one has to undergo intensive reading.again,admission there is purely by merit or less of mangomgo and as result,best and right students are admitted unlike what is obtainable in most of other unis.where chaffs are admitted at the detriment of brainy ones as a result of who knows who.last year's best candidate in neco is schooling there likewise waec best and second best candidates.they participated in their post utme.it would also interest u to note that none of them made it to top five best students in the post tume.this goes along way in showing the kind of students under ui watchful eyes.................pals which school do u think has the best brain in our country?and also u reasons for that..............hapy xmas to u all and also to almighty lalasticlala.

Before the panel of judges, school promoting heads, and Attorneys of various universities will come and cause commotion here let me go and buy my cold chilled zobo first to step down

For state university, preferably I won't cast my vote. This is because I cannot vouch based on my preference for a particular university in this category. It would be a biased method of Judgement.

For Private university, I have heard of CU and AUN, but I cannot categorically say one is better than the other.

Sweety, among the worst of things, there will surely be the best if one is given the opportunity to choose from.
This also applies to Nigeria universities, no matter how you think the system has reduced the creativity and brilliance in Nigeria students, there will surely be some students who will still stand out.

Permit me to commit a fallacy here, if no Nigeria university has outstanding students who are brainy, then there is no brilliant student in Nigeria . Remember, you are a Student and if I am not mistaken in a Nigeria university.

school mighty not make students brainy as u assert(how is that even possible)but their are school who can burst of more intelligent students than others.some students pass other students joor.there are students who are in another planet entirely from others.just pick one uni.

University of ibadan(for example,out of the three best students in 2015 WAEC,the 1st and 2nd are currently studying medicine and surgery in U.I.And it goes like that every year.one of them will be a U.I student)....follow by OAU...Then..Unilorin,....then..unilag...then...UNN....then...ABU...zaria.

intelligent students are everywhere. am always wondering all this so called Oau ui and the rest still believe they are best.the best with dilapidated buildings, using of 19century syllabus when my Frnd in Bowen studying accounting already has is I can , ACCA and other accounting certifications u go come sitdown dey talk say private school is easy why won't it be easy? seens their lecturer is not as sadists as yours in public skul.
guys all this Oau ui and co na pass glory then they use.go to lasu they produce the best doctor in west Africa.

Of course, when you talk about this topic, the first institution your mind should think of is Oba Awon University, aka OAU, Ife.

@Op how did you come up with the conclusion that UI has an edge over other universities as regards brilliant students, did you conduct any kind of assessment for students of other schools to generalize so hastily, a school could be the most preferred and yet not have as much brilliant students as other less preferred schools.


And as regards your question, I think it's impossible to give a genuine answer, as all our answers will be borne out of guesses sentiments and other reasons, except until a thorough assessment is conducted, then no concrete answer can be given.
