How To Protect Yourself Against Ritual Predators

You read and listen to horrible stories both in the print, electronic media and social media platforms of people falling victims to ritual desperadoes, risking everything including their lives to make money especially during this ember period: from September to December. This is the peak period for this barbaric act. Moreover, they're everywhere, lurking, searching and waiting to launch an attack on their latest victim(s). This barbaric act is common among Africa countries as against countries in Europe, South America and North America.

"A ritualist is someone who uses people to make money through human-body-parts. It involves some incantation, voodoo of some sort to make sacrifices. This is to make the process a reality."

Not a lot of victims had lived to tell their stories. And those lucky enough are left traumatized, sometimes needing medical evaluations to bring them back to stability. They use different modi operandi to set traps for their victims. It's like a huge net spread across a prey, trapping and entangling it; and making the victim unable to free itself. These ritualists are protected by powerful individuals in the society who have the wherewithal to bribe and cajole the Police service and judicial system.

Families have been left to mourn their love ones they can't see to bury; left to search endlessly and hoping-against-hope to see their love ones coming home again. The chances of seeing them alive are very slim indeed. They expect to see their love ones walking through the door. But the positives are far against the negatives.

Unfortunately, people don't believe this evil act exist. They believe it's a myth, something cooked up by some grandpas and grandmas, like some fictitious stories - it's a reality. We see it everyday, yet we ignored it. Then somebody close to us becomes a victim. The 'haily-waily' begins.

The act is carried out in different ways and everybody can fall into their webs. They use commercial buses, charms and money (huge) to deceive their victims. Once the victim is trapped, getting out isn't easy. They use the body parts - heads, breasts, private parts, etc - of their victims to carry out their dastardly acts. Although it's very difficult to know them, vigilance and learnt-security-skills can save you.

These six (6) tips can save you from falling victim to money ritualists:

1. Stay Alert: You've to stay focus. If you noticed anything suspicious in a commercial bus, please step out as quickly as possible (that is before it begins it transit). Once it starts moving, the chances of you leaving is very slim. If you're walking in isolated places, please avoid areas you can be exposed to harm like clustered trees and bushes along a bush path, isolated buildings, etc. LESSON: Don't be careless and nonchalant when you're in places you know can endanger your life. Watch out for suspicious movements. Run if you can.

2. Don't Board A Stranger's Vehicle: This is another trick the ritualists use to ensnare their victims. These vehicles are very flashy. Although commercial vehicles are used too. They take them to hotel rooms, charm them before using them for their evil deeds. LESSON: Avoid vehicles you suspect are prone to risk. Sometimes, if you see three or more people in a vehicle, please avoid it especially if they look suspicious. Don't follow a stranger to a hotel or a place you think can leave you vulnerable. Once you're in the mercy of ritualists, the chances of you leaving unharmed are very slim.

3. Arm Yourself: It's best you protect yourself before it's too late. People think nothing will happen to them, so they avoid using gadgets that can protect them when the need be. LESSON: Aside from fire arm, you're allow to carry pepper sprayers and other licensed security kits. If you've the chance, design their faces (the ritualists) with the pepper sprayer, then run for your dear life. Life has no duplicate my friend.

4. Carry Your Mobile Phone Along With You: Your mobile phone can perform magic when you find yourself in a dangerous situation. In fact, mobile phones are the most effective ways to call for help. LESSON: Carry two phones: a smart and a none smart phone. Store your important contacts in the smaller one, because it's portable and can easily be reached and concealed from these people. In emergency situations, make sure your close contacts are within reach so that you can dial their numbers conspicuously. Put it in the pocket you know you can quickly reach without alerting them. Put it in vibration mode. Charge your phone before leaving home so that it doesn't disappoint you when you need it urgently.

5. Don't Panic: When people are scared, they put themselves in further danger. You can't think straight, you can't strategize, and you can't focus. Your mind is one powerful weapon you can utilize if you're to free yourself from these monsters. LESSON: Self control is important at this particular time. Don't show panic so that you can have clear and focus thought devoid of distractions. When you're under panic, your mind becomes cloudy and thinking of an escape route will be difficult.

6. Learn Defensive/Offensive Skills: There're lots of martial art skills you can learn if you're to free yourself from ritualists. Skills like Taekwondo, Karate, Kick Boxing and Judo are the best you can learn. LESSON: At least, try as much as possible to learn one of these skills. It's hard work, but the endurance you put into it and the pain you face wouldn't be in vain.
