Congrats on the success of your npower application. But I have to remind you great breeds with high quality can cost you about 150,000 for a quality pup. German shepherds, boerboels, chow chow, Caucasians can cost that much. Toy breeds like Lhasa, pampilon, may cost less. Plus their vaccination and feeding. Bro you need about 1million to be honest. Unless you wanna run a limited number of quality breeds or you wanna run numerous breeds of low quality. If you wanna get it right.

From getting quality breeds from bobysaxxy, to vaccination, feeding, accommodation, etc can cost about 1m. If the fund is okay then the journey can begin. It's not easy, but remember nothing good comes easy.

I admire your resilience and determination bro. It will pay off. I wish I had knowledge on how to kick-start kennels. I just have fair knowledge on dogs. I would have loved to help you out.

I had to log in on Nairaland to give you some advice bro...I'm no dig breeder OK,but you can try to save up and get a pedigree pup,maybe a boerboel for instance,a female,you take good care of her and in a year you'll reap what you sowed into the dog,the amount of care you give her will determine the kind of pups you get,and you must cross it with a good or in fact,very good male..When she Whelp's you'll sell of the puppies for a good price and from there you gbera again,get another dog or just keep one pup for yourself.. whatever you decide to do bro....And good luck...

What you need most is the passion for dogs, followed by money(not just to acquire, but also to take care of the dog) kennel business has its own ups and down just like other business, so I will advice you not to take it as a full time business not until you're sure of what you're doing. One more thing is to have a mentor that can guide you and you get to learn from his experience. Best wishes bro
