A plan as defined by the Encarta dictionary is something that somebody intends or has arranged to do.

Many are of the opinion that one’s plans need not be written down. But I will like to remember them of the popular saying that “Plans, when not written down, are mere wishes”

Why is it important to have a written plan?

1. A written plan serves as a blueprint for your goal. Structural engineers when constructing a building always make use of blueprints on sites. The contractors check the blueprints often, to see if the building is being constructed correctly.
Same reason you need to have a written plan. When you have a written plan, you can have something to refer to when you want to make sure you are on track.

2. Written plans are a description of how you intend ending. When you have a written plan for the year, it is a description of the end of your life by the end of the year or after a specific period of the year.

3. A written plan motivates you to achieve. When a written plan made, there is motivation and energy from within, that pushes you to go achieve your goal. You will discover you the need for you to put away procrastination, wishing or hoping you get somewhere.

4. A Written plan gives you something to pray about. In reaching our goals, you must admit it that you need God’s intervention throughout the journey. One way to seek God’s intervention is through prayer. When there is a written plan, you will discover you have something specific to call on God for whenever you come to his presence.

Write down a plan if you don’t want to end up wherever the wind tides take you this year. Write it out and fulfill it.
