Logistics/Purchasing Agent
We are exporter and wholesaler of bulk Nigerian food and agricultural products to foreign countries. We carry non-perishable and preserved food items.

We are looking to add a Buyer/Purchasing Agent to our team.

As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiation and overseeing of logistics involved in purchasing our inventory for the purpose of export. You will also ensure the accurate, timely and cost effective receipt of purchased inventory.

Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate purchase requests to determine suitability based on price, availability, and experience
• Negotiate with suppliers to arrive at “best fit” solutions
• Oversee the progress of purchase orders, initiate corrective action, and approve payment
• Required to work in a safe and efficient manner and ensure compliance to Health and Safety and Other Policies
• Prepare progress reports to the Head of Operations.
• Travel as required.

Qualifications
• Post-Secondary education (Degree or Diploma)
• Related work experience is desired but not a requirement.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Effective in time management with ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Resourceful with sound analytical skills
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including outlook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
