Prices of food have risen crazily in Akure in the past few months. The price of a bottle of dirty looking palm oil now sells for N700 . In response, a Facebook user posted this message:

"GBÈSÈ RÈ ÓÓ;
Red oil is now N700 per bottle in Akure."
