In group B, Manchester United are up against Besiktas at Old Trafford. Manchester United will be looking to cement their position at the top of the group on the night; they already booked their place in the last 16 when they fought back to draw 3-3 with CSKA Moscow in their last UCL game.

In attack, Sir Alex has got Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen, Danny Welbeck, and Macheda. Dimitar Berbatov has been out injured, but is back in training and may get some playing time before the end of 90 minutes. Rooney and Owen are the pair likely to start.
Midfield selection poses the usual headache for Sir Alex.  .  .Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher, Ryan Giggs, Nani, Anderson, Valencia, Gabriel Obertan and Darren Gibson are all available. The long injured Ji-Sung Park is back in training as well.
Fletcher is one tenacious player that is certain of a starting place, as well as Antonio Valencia. One can only speculate on who Ferguson will eventually decide to add to the midfield quartet. Nani is due for some match action though, and his pace will be useful in there.
In defense, United have a number of injuries. Rio Ferdinand, Fabio, John O'Shea and Johnny Evans are on the injury list; however Evans is back in training and may feature on the night.
Nemanja Vidic, Wes Brown, Patrice Evra, Gary Neville and Rafael are all available though, so the injured ones won't really be missed. Edwin Van Der Saar will be in goal.

Besiktas have been having a rather bumpy ride in all competitions so far. Against United at Old Trafford, the odds are largely against them. But then, football is still an unpredictable sport most of the time.
No major changes are expected for this encounter.
The visitors' UCL hopes ended with their Matchday 4 home defeat by Wolfsburg but they could yet overturn the three-point deficit on 3rd placed CSKA Moscow and claim a UEFA Europa League spot.

Dzeko is a donkey. . .for playing the ball (knowing he was offside) even though Martins ball was through on GOAL. Wolfsburg would have been 2 goals up.
