Oil and Gas jobs is one of the highest paid employments anyone can get in Nigeria.

One of the major challenges of fresh graduates is the level of work experience often required by the oil companies.

The following steps suggested by recruiters and top managers in these multinational oil companies reveals how you can land a great job in Total.

1. Get a Good Grade

Usually a second class upper will give you a leverage as most oil companies require you have at least a 2:1

2. Study French and Portuguese

To gain a foot in the door study French and Portuguese. France is the home country of Total so they send their staffs their for training.

Your ability to speak French gives you an edge over other candidate in an interview if you all excel in the oral or written interview.

Apart from French, Portuguese is also important as it is the language of Angola.

Angola is also another place where Nigerians are sent to for training.

So your ability to speak the language will give you an edge.
