Calling someone a rising star is a big compliment, if you actually understand it. It means that no matter how much you have done, there's still so much room for improvement, to go higher. Dangote at the world stage is still a rising star. Even in Nigeria he himself (Dangote) has proved that he's just beginning. It is this feeling of "I have arrived" that make most of our artistes (and Nigerians in general) retire so early, after so little work done. 1 Like |

Nigerians can like to overestimate themselves though. Wizkid is a big act in naija but a rising act internationally. Y'all should quit all these nonsense. I watched one of the Grammy awards where destiny's child spoke about wanting to see Craig David cos they had been hearing about him but didn't know much about him cos he wasn't known in the US. This was a period when CG had become a big hit in the UK, swept all the BMA awards he was nominated for, and all that. CG was already a super star in naija at that time. That we think Wizkid is big, doesn't mean he's as big as we think, internationally. 1 Like |

I think Wizzy, while being an already established act in the African scene is still a rising star in the global market so the radio station was right when they said Marketing training online for the visually sweet people of the nether worlds who have sent the people of the yonder worlds to me by accident and we went and told them to come to the house whenever they had the best things that we could give them. I told them that we are the one who made the change for them. We told them we liked to take in the ass from women with joysticks. But if they have joysticks they are no longer women. What have they become? I asked. We are almost on our way and we did not even know how they did it. Well thanks for reading because this post makes absolutely no sense because that is why my mother beat me with her largest fry pan and my father: jumper cables he found at the foot of the tree where David committed fornication.
