8 Best Tips for Moms to Keep
Their New Born Healthy
For 9 months, you have been very careful to
make sure
that he is healthy in your tummy. You have
said goodbye
to coffee, beer, junk foods, partying, fast food
and all
other things that could possibly hamper his
development.
You have fully embraced a healthy and stress-
free
lifestyle just to make sure that you are
providing a
healthy environment for your baby. Now that
he’s out of
your tummy, you would do everything in the
world to
ensure that he grows up to be a happy and
healthy child.
Having a newborn baby can be scary and
overwhelming,
especially to first time mommies. Below are the
tested
and proven tips that you can use to keep your
little ones
healthy.
1. Always Keep Your Hands Clean
Though your touch can bring so much comfort
and love to
your baby, it can also be a carrier of germs and
bacteria.
Our little one’s immune system has not been
fully
developed yet so they are very susceptible to
sickness.
How do we make sure that we don’t transfer
germs and
bacteria to our little ones?
By constantly washing our hands.
Before you hold your adorable baby, wash your
hands
thoroughly first. If the sink is out of reach, you
can
always opt for isopropyl alcohol or hand
sanitizer.
Always keep these handy so that you can pour a
drop or
two on your palms before you hold your baby.
2 . Take Vaccinations on Time
They say prevention is better than cure. With a
lot of
infant death caused by sickness and diseases, it
is
important that babies are protected. Having
their
vaccination on time is a sure way to protect
your babies
from diseases. Make sure that you discuss with
your
pediatrician the vaccines that your baby must
take and
follow the vaccination schedule by heart.
3. Get Your Baby Out in Sunlight
New-born babies need vitamin D and one of the
cheapest
and easiest sources of this vitamin is the sun.
To avoid
damage from harmful UV rays, let them be
outside before
8 am. It’s a good way for the baby to get the
health
benefits of the sunlight and at the same time
it’s a way of
making them comfortable with the outside
world.
For the guardian’s convenience, you can jog
while having
your baby out. Why need jogging stroller? To be
able to
have your own exercise while taking care of the
baby at
the same time.
4. Don’t Avoid Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is one of the most wonderful
experiences
of motherhood. Not only it creates a deepest
bond with
the baby, it’s also the most effective way of
providing all
the nutrients that baby needs. Breast milk is
the earliest
vaccine of the baby. It gives them antibodies
and all the
vitamins that they need for them to be healthy.
Breastfeeding could be hard and challenging,
especially
to first time moms, but it is very fulfilling and
rewarding.
If you’re struggling with milk supply, researches
on foods
and supplements that can help boost your
breast milk
supply. Also make sure that you have a support
system,
be it your husband, friends, family member,
that could
help you get motivated when you feel like giving
up. Continue Reading @ www.victorezblog.com.ng
